Dudley Duncan

My working experience was as a competitive swimming club coach within the governing body of USA Swimming. Club coaching is unique to all other levels of coaching such as high school, college, YMCA, etc. The differences are that USAS club swimming is year around, typically involves swimmers from about 8 years old until about 18 years old, club size averages 150 to 300 swimmers and meets are much longer in duration. I coached all competitive levels including Olympians. I was inducted into 4 categories of Hall of Fame. Eventually, I purchased a pool property and operated my business privately which is a unique business paradigm in swimming. Finally, I wrote a book to chronicle my experience to assist young coaches through my experience. The book is titled: The art of Swimming & The Game of Racing; Reflections of a USAS club swimming coach. I actively coached on pool deck for 51 years. I continue to own the business while being retired from coaching. Married, 2 children, 4 grandchildren. Currently live in Vero Beach, FL
